Terre Haute Area Association of Realtors

The Terre Haute Area Association of Realtors (THAAR) is a respected professional trade association that has been serving the Wabash Valley real estate community since its founding by JB Pfister in 1913. With over a century of experience and expertise, THAAR continues to thrive, representing more than 500 REALTOR® and affiliate members across Sullivan, Parke, Vermillion, Clay, and Vigo Counties. As a testament to its commitment to excellence, THAAR owns and operates its own MLS, making sure its members have access to the most comprehensive and up-to-date property listings in the region.

THAAR’s dedicated leadership, comprised of its MLS Board of Directors, remains focused on fostering a strong sense of community among its members while continuously enhancing their professionalism and expertise. The association is committed to providing its members with the latest tools, technology, and training to help them excel in the ever-evolving real estate landscape. By equipping its members with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed, THAAR makes sure they are well-prepared to meet the diverse needs of their clients.

In addition to its commitment to professional development, THAAR is also deeply invested in the well-being of its local community. In 2022, the association established Veterans Point, an initiative aimed at constructing Veterans Village, which will provide six transitional homes for homeless veterans in the area. This project shows THAAR’s unwavering dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of those it serves, both within the real estate industry and the community at large.
