Agents
REALTORS® wishing to join SAR must complete a membership application and be sponsored by their Broker, who is required to be a member. If the Broker isn’t a member, they can join simultaneously with the agent by submitting a separate application and paying their own fees. Secondary membership is available for those who are primary members of N.A.R. and C.A.R. through another association, allowing access to the SAR MLS without paying additional N.A.R. and C.A.R. fees.
Brokers
Brokers can join SAR by completing a membership application and can work independently or be the managing Broker of a licensed office with affiliated agents. The same rules apply to Brokers as they do to REALTORS® regarding primary and secondary memberships.
Secondary Members
A REALTOR® may join SAR without their Broker being a member, known as a “Secondary Membership.” This allows the REALTOR® to be a member of SAR but without access to the MLS. Secondary Members must be primary members of N.A.R. and C.A.R. through another association, paying C.A.R. dues to SAR along with local dues if their primary association is in a different state.
Affiliate/Industry Partners
Affiliate Members are individuals involved in real estate-related businesses but are not licensed REALTORS®, Brokers, or Appraisers. They cannot join N.A.R. and C.A.R. but have access to various member benefits to enhance their business as SAR members.
Appraisers
Licensed Real Estate Appraisers can join SAR and access the MLS and local board member benefits. Appraisers have the option to join C.A.R. for additional benefits, but it’s not required.
Tips for creating a successful brand-focused website for the Siskiyou AOR
When it comes to creating a successful brand-focused website for the Siskiyou Association of REALTORS® (SAR), showcasing the unique identity and opportunities that the region offers is key. Siskiyou County and its surrounding areas are known for their stunning natural beauty, outdoor recreation, and tight-knit communities, making it an attractive destination for both home buyers and real estate investors.
To effectively communicate your expertise and value to potential clients, your website should feature comprehensive area guides that highlight the best of each location. For example, create dedicated pages for popular cities like Mount Shasta, Yreka, and Redding, showcasing local market attractions, schools, market trends, and lifestyle information. By providing this valuable content, you show your deep understanding of the area and position yourself as the go-to resource for buyers and sellers.
In addition to area guides, consider creating a blog that showcases the unique aspects of living in Siskiyou County. Share insider tips on the best hiking trails, local events, and hidden gems that only a true local would know. This type of content not only attracts potential clients but also helps to establish your brand as an authority in the region.
As you develop your website, don’t forget to leverage the power of social proof. Highlight testimonials from satisfied clients and feature case studies that show your success in helping buyers find their dream homes or sellers achieve top dollar for their properties. By showcasing your achievements and the positive experiences of your clients, you build trust and credibility with your target audience.
Finally, make sure your website is optimized for user experience and lead generation. Implement clear calls-to-action throughout your site, encouraging visitors to contact you, sign up for your newsletter, or download valuable resources like buyer or seller guides. By making it easy for potential clients to engage with your brand and access the information they need, you’ll drive results in your hyperlocal market.
