  4. Asking at a bad time: If your clients are in the middle of a challenging home search or are feeling uncertain about this real estate purchase, it’s not the right time to ask them for referrals. Happy clients are significantly more likely to share a referral with you. Look for a time along the real estate purchase, especially towards the end, when your client is at a high point.
  5. Spamming with posts: Endlessly asking for referrals on public forums such as social media pages, can come across as “spammy” and make you appear untrustworthy. Add a photo or video of a past review to gently model what you are looking for.
